Job Description

Are you a part-qualified life actuary with knowledge or experience of the UK Protection market (or relevant pensions knowledge) looking for your next career development opportunity within a leading-edge global reinsurer?

Then this role has your name written all over it.

Star Actuarial is currently representing an exciting chance to join a leading protection pricing team where you will develop technical knowledge relevant to reinsurance pricing.

In this key role, you will help deliver quotes and projects, including accurate manipulation of data and production of experience analysis, setting pricing assumptions and producing metrics to help negotiate commercial terms.

You will also support improvements to pricing tools and processes, keeping abreast of the ever-changing landscape of new technology and embracing and adopting this within working practices.

In addition, you will support the development and review of the pricing basis and assumptions.

Good knowledge of protection pricing processes, including experience analysis, assumptions setting and modelling methodology, is desirable.

Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Excel & Word skills but also experience with R, Python, Basic VBA or similar programming is required.
