Senior Actuarial Pensions Consultant
Job Description
Leading consultancy has a significant opportunity for a qualified actuary to join its pensions team where you will contribute to a broad range of actuarial and defined benefits pension consultancy services to pension scheme trustees, scheme sponsors and other third parties.
In this exciting role, you will reviewing and critically analyse work for signing off by Actuarial Directors, including work relating to actuarial valuations, actuarial funding updates, actuarial factor reviews, transfer value basis reviews, accounting disclosures (primarily under IAS19 and FRS102), mergers, wind-ups and other actuarial costings.
You will also peer review constructively technical reports and calculations carried out in respect of pension schemes and individuals.
In addition, you will gain an understanding of clients’ differing needs and the industries within which they operate.
With strong team-working skills, the successful candidate will possess knowledge of actuarial valuations, accounting disclosures under FRS 102, IAS 19R and either ASC 715 or US GAAP.
You will also be up-to-date with changes in UK pensions legislation and the UK pensions environment in general.
